About Valahlena

Special Ed Paraprofessional

Val Steeprock is a dedicated Special Education paraeducator who brings compassion, patience, and creativity into the classroom each day. She is passionate about supporting students’ growth, both academically and emotionally, and believes in creating a safe, welcoming space where every child feels seen and valued.

Outside of school, Val is deeply involved in her community. She is an organizer with MMIW218, advocating for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) through awareness campaigns, storytelling, and community events. She is also a photographer, blending her artistry with advocacy to uplift voices and preserve stories that matter.

As a proud mother of two daughters, Val finds her greatest inspiration in her children. They remind her daily of the importance of resilience, empathy, and hope — values she carries into her work with students and families alike.
