About Steve
Special Ed Paraprofessional
Hello, my name is Steve Chesney. I am a paraprofessional here at VES. I chose education as a means of helping others, which is crucial to the role of working in education. I really love the small community we have here at VES. This makes it easier to get to know everyone on a first-name basis and be better able to identify with everyone’s needs.
My educational background includes graduating from the old Bemidji High School. I studied sociology for 3 years at GCU, and I eventually went over to Northwest Tech, where I received an OSHA certificate. I enjoy things I learn from documentaries and tutorials as well, and when it comes to learning things, I feel I learn best from visual and hands-on experience.
My hobbies include spending time with my family and our pets. We enjoy swimming and grilling down by the lake. Some of the other places we enjoy going here in Bemidji include The Science Center, Roy’s Comics, Chocolate’s Plus, and Wasabi. My wife and I have raised our kids right here in Bemidji, and we really enjoy being part of the community.
