Special Education Teacher - MS & Board Treasurer
My name is Shelby Spry, and I am Voyageurs’ Special Education Coordinator and Middle School Special Education Teacher. I will be starting my fourth year teaching at Voyageurs, and starting my first year on the school board here. Before teaching special education at Voyageurs, I served for two years as our American Indian Education Coordinator. I am a descendant of White Earth Nation and grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN. My husband and I, along with all of our sled dogs, moved to Bemidji nine years ago, and we are now expecting our first baby this September! Jake is a member of Red Lake Nation and grew up here in Bemidji, which is one of the many reasons we chose to settle in this unique city. I love Voyageurs because of the small size and close community that we can cultivate each year. I love my job and working with students and their families!
