About Monica
High School Science
My name is Monica Meadows. This is my 15th year teaching science and 3rd year at Voyageurs. I grew up in Bemidji, left for college in Fargo, and spent the last 23 years in North Dakota. I returned in 2023 to be closer to my family and immediately jumped at the opportunity to teach at Voyageurs. One of the things that I love most about teaching at Voyageurs is the ability to use the Project-Based Learning process. Students can engage in topics that they find useful or relevant to earn credits. Experiential learning is the best way to learn how to solve problems in the real world, and we are encouraged to use experiences as much as possible. I am excited to see what this year brings with Competency-Based Grading and how our students gain more agency in their learning.
