About Kwe
Indigenous Culture Coordinator
Kwe Humphrey is our Indigenous Education Program Coordinator and is going into her fourth year at Voyageurs. She is an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, belongs to the bear clan, and credits much of her cultural knowledge to her late grandfather, Wallace Humphrey, among many others. Not having access to cultural knowledge as a child, Kwe is incredibly passionate about getting our students back to the land and helping them remember who they are, so they can live their journeys to the fullest. Kwe graduated from Leech Lake Tribal College in 2021 and received her American Indian Language, History, and Culture (AILHC) Tribal Eminence License through Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe in 2024.
