About James
MS Science Teacher
James Will joined the Voyageurs team in 2024 and is now entering his second year teaching Middle School Science at VES. James was born and raised in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School in 2017 before heading to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota. He graduated in 2021 with a degree in Biology and returned to his hometown to share his love of science at the Headwaters Science Center. James is currently completing his Master of Arts in Teaching through BSU, and is excited to introduce students to the wonders of Earth, Life, and Physical Science throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
In his free time, James enjoys reading history, hiking, and exploring nature on cross-country skis. A lifelong musician, he has performed with choirs, show choirs, and musical ensembles. James also values time spent with his family, friends, and girlfriend. He looks forward to another exciting year of service, expeditions, and learning at VES!
