About Heather
Middle School Social Studies
Heather is beginning her ninth year as a Social Studies teacher at Voyageurs, where she brings the past to life and inspires her students to see connections between history and their own world. She is passionate about helping students think critically, ask questions, and understand how stories from the past shape the present. Heather’s dedication and enthusiasm make her classroom a place where curiosity and learning thrive.
Outside of school, Heather enjoys a variety of hobbies that keep her busy and fulfilled. She loves to sew, dive into a good book, and spend time with her pets (2 cats, a rabbit, and a hamster). Much of her free time is also happily spent cheering on her daughter at choir and sporting events, where she is a dedicated and supportive fan. Heather balances her love for teaching with her personal passions, creating a full life both inside and outside the classroom.
