Caleb Knutson

Caleb is in his second year teaching high school social studies at Voyageurs Expeditionary School and is a member of the Full Service Community School Leadership Team. He grew up on a small family farm in Newfolden, MN, before moving to Bemidji to attend Bemidji State University, where he majored in Social Studies Education and minored in History. During his time at BSU, he met his future wife, and they have made Bemidji their home.

Caleb became a teacher to make a difference in students’ lives and to inspire them to become lifelong learners of social studies. He enjoys working at VES because of its commitment to hands-on, project-based learning and the supportive, collaborative team of staff. Outside of school, Caleb enjoys learning about history, traveling, reading, lifting weights, playing basketball, spending time outdoors, and video gaming.
