Welcome to Voyageurs Expeditionary School

The first slideshow shows a few photos from our first Expeditionary day, which was on September 30th. These students participated in 2 service activities that day: Writing cards for the American Red Cross Holidays for Heroes program and volunteering at the Great River Rescue - students interacted with the animals, cleaned cages and helped with laundry.

The next slideshow is from STAR camp. Our STAR team (stands for Students Teaching Attitudes of Respect) consists of 6th and 7th graders. This program is sponsored by Peacemaker Resources. Students attended training sessions on topics including: Conflict, Listening, and Needs & Feelings. They also participated in many cooperative games and a drumming session.

Students participated in the Stuff-a-truck project, benefiting the Bemidji Community Food Shelf. We held a "competition" between advisories, with the top advisory earning a pizza party. Students earned points for their advisories by bringing in food items. There were "bonus" items each day, which were worth 5 points each. These items included: peanut butter, cereal, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste & tuna! :)

At Voyageurs you will find a small, caring school focused on individual student needs and interests, with a major focus on Hands-on Environmental Education and Community Based experiences. We are a FREE public middle and high school located on the north end of Bemidji.

Since Voyageurs Expeditionary School uses transportation from ISD 31 (Bemidji); we are required to follow their schedule.
